Farmers to open high-tech branch
CANFIELD — Farmers National Bank will open a new high-tech branch in Canfield in the spring.
The Lab Branch, 4538 Boardman Canfield Road, near the state Route 11 interchange, will be the place for Farmers’ emerging and innovative technology and customer service initiatives, including interactive teller machines in the lobby and drive-thru.
It will also have a coffee bar and more relaxed atmosphere.
“At Farmers, we remained committed to developing a culture of innovation, and this Lab Branch helps us achieve just that,” said Kevin J. Helmick, Farmers’ president / CEO. “We’ll be able to evaluate and adopt new technologies at a faster pace to stay ahead of these innovations in banking technology.”
Feedback received by customers at the branch will help Farmers roll out the new technology at other locations. The main office in Canfield will also have the interactive teller machines as a drive-thru option.
The Canfield Plaza branch will close when the new branch opens in May.
Farmers, a subsidiary of Canfield-based Farmers National Banc Corp., has 41 banking locations in the Mahoning Valley and elsewhere in northeast Ohio.
