Local gas prices below average in northeast Ohio
WARREN — The average price of gas in the Warren-Youngstown and Niles areas is below the rest of northeast Ohio, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
In Warren-Youngstown, the average is $2.46 per gallon and in Niles, $2.36 per gallon. The average price for the region is $2.50 per gallon, which is 7 cents less expensive than last week.
The average price this week last year was $2.82 per gallon.
Across the U.S. the price is holding steady at $2.65 per gallon. That’s 9 cents more than last month, but 26 cents less expensive than a year ago.
