STRUTHERS – A temporary road closure has been announced by Struthers officials as Aqua Ohio begins the final phase of its multi-year, $5 million water main replacement project in downtown Struthers.
Beginning Monday, the intersection of Bridge Street and State Street at the railroad crossing will be closed during construction work hours. This phase of the project is expected to last approximately three to four weeks, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Access to all downtown businesses will be maintained at all times throughout the construction period. Motorists should anticipate temporary traffic disruptions, follow posted detour signs and use caution when traveling near the construction area.
This significant investment in Struthers’ water infrastructure represents an important step toward improving the reliability and longevity of the city’s water distribution system. The city appreciates Aqua Ohio’s continued investment in our community and its commitment to completing this multi-year improvement project,” a news release from Struthers Mayor Catherine Cercone-Miller states.
