WHAT: City Council meeting Wednesday
PRESENT: Michael Patrick, Lori Gomon, Bob Deagan, Robert Burnside, Dallas Bigley, Richard Bayus, Megan Pingley, James Baluck and Mayor Catherine Cercone Miller
Council:
* Heard monthly reports from K.O. Consulting, the treasurer, tax commissioner and mayor.
* Passed an ordinance redefining the boundaries of the city’s four wards. The new map will go into effect Jan. 1.
* Had first reading of an ordinance allowing the mayor and city safety director to contract with Pavement Management Group for a three-year period starting in 2027.
* Approved an ordinance to amend the contract between the city and Barbicas Construction Company Inc. for paving streets in Struthers.
* Approved an ordinance allowing the public service director and wastewater manager to contract with A.P. O'Horo Company for the slide gate replacement project at a price not to exceed $133,370.
* Approved an ordinance to adopt the collective bargaining agreement between the city of Struthers and the AFCSME, AFL-CIO Local 759 of Council 8.
