WHAT: McDonald Village council meeting Oct. 21
PRESENT: Sean Schmidt, John Metzinger, Brian Bosheff, Joe Sanson, Marty Puckett and Mayor Ray Lewis
ABSENT: Kerry Reckard
Council:
* Heard from residents Elizabeth Johnson and Joe Guarino who asked about the data center ordinance being prepared by the village zoning board and what procedures will be used to create the ordinance.
* Passed by emergency reading submitting an application to participate in the federal land and water conservation fund program for money for improvements to the tennis courts.
* Approved supporting the Mahoning River water trail extension since the village is part of the river corridor. Officials said they support placement of signage along the river.
* Reported remodeling work at the police department is near completion.
