WHAT: October Austintown Board of Education meeting

The board:
* Approved the September financial and expenditure report and month-end forecast report.
* Approved purchase orders over $15,000 and transfers for the month as submitted.
* Approved the following donations: $500 from MSVC-MOAA to the Fitch Junior ROTC program; $300 worth of school supplies from Greenford Christian Church to Austintown Elementary
School; $500 from the Tim Welsh Memorial Run to Austintown Local Preschool; $250 from Home Depot to Austintown Elementary School; $1,000 from the Salvation Army to Austintown Elementary School; $500 from Austintown Football Boosters to Fitch cheerleaders; and $1,827.50 from Boys Soccer Boosters to Boys Soccer/Athletics for HUDL and uniforms.
* Approved the following resignations: Anthony Rudolphi, AES paraprofessional; James Jones, bus mechanic; Chelsie Sheets, food service; Ruth Ann Crago, food service; Justina Meade, food service; Kayleigh Burk, AES tutor; Margaret Mascarella, AES special education paraprofessional; Denetra Butler, AES paraprofessional; and Constance Ortz, OAPSE paraprofessional at AES (retirement).
* Approved the following bus drivers in training and transportation substitutes at the rate of $16 an hour: Cortia Battee Jackson and Dominique Fox.
* Approved stipend position for Faith Odom, speech and debate at $1,425.
* Approved a leave of absence for Carla Hamrock.
* Approved a contractual agreement between Walden University and Austintown Local Schools for educational field site experience.
* Approved the contractual agreement between the Austintown Local School District and Supplemental Educational Services, Inc. to provide staff for delivery of Title I services for students at ACLD.
* Approved a memorandum of understanding between the Austintown Local School District and the Austintown Education Association
