HUBBARD HUNGER HIKE: Hubbard Christians in Action, a group of churches throughout Hubbard, is sponsoring its “Hunger Hike” on Sunday. Hunger Hike/Walk is an annual event that features a one-mile walk route for people with young children, medical needs and mobility issues, as well as a 2-mile and even a 4-mile route (people in underdeveloped countries walk an average of 4 miles to access water daily). Hubbard’s "Hunger Hike” replaces the former CROP Hunger Walk. All donations will be kept in Hubbard to address food scarcity as well as utility and emergency expenses for residents of Hubbard and Masury. The host church is First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave., Hubbard. The event begins at 2 p.m. Snacks, sponsor sheets and route sheets will be available on site. You may sign up at your local church or contact Mary at 330-507-4239 or email her at Marym895@aol.com to connect you with registration materials and/or answer any questions you may have.
