YOUNGSTOWN– The Mahoning County commissioners closed the county’s Oakhill building at 345 Oak Hill Avenue, todayFRI as a result of an odor detected there, county officials stated in an 11:26 a.m. press release. The building will remain closed the rest of the day.

“All employees and visitors are required to leave the building for the remainder of the day,” the release states. Officials expect the building to reopen “for our next business day,” the release states, presumably referring to Monday.

“The safety and well-being of our employees and the public remain our top priority,” according to the release. “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
