Man, 30, killed in early-Monday shooting at Midlothian club
YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 30, was killed in an early Monday shooting in the parking lot of the Vibez Bar, 914 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Police were called there at 2:20 a.m. for a report of a shooting in the parking lot. Officers found hundreds of people in the lot and a nearby area and were directed to Deandre Stores, 30, who appeared to have been shot several times, according to a Youngstown Police press release.
Ambulance personnel arrived and attempted life saving measures, but Stores died, the release states.
“Due to the large, unruly crowd, officers from Boardman PD, Campbell PD, and others were requested for assistance, the release states.
The Youngstown Police detective division and crime scene unit were sent to the scene, along with the Mahoning County Coroner’s office, and they began an investigation, the 4:56 a.m. release states.
No arrest has been made, and the news release noted that the investigation is in in the “early stages.”
But “detectives know there were many people around who may have seen or heard something that could be crucial in helping solve this case, bring the suspect(s) to justice and allow the family to have closure,” the release states.
“We are asking that anyone who was at the bar with the victim that evening speak with detectives about this case,” it adds.
