Two Austintown men indicted on child pornography charges
YOUNGSTOWN — Two Austintown men were indicted this week on multiple charges of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, following an investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
The task force is part of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yostás Organized Crime Investigations Commission.
Robert A. Basic, 44, of Oak Trace Street, was indicted on 50 counts. Ryan N. Marenkovic, 44, of the Mahoning County jail, was indicted on seven counts.
The task force executed search warrants at the homes of the two men Aug. 11, finding evidence of child pornography, Major Jeff Allen of the Mahoning County Sheriffás office said. The sheriff’s office is one of the state, federal and Mahoning Valley law enforcement agencies that participates in the task force.
