Suspicious fire at triple murder scene

1 min read

YOUNGSTOWN — Investigators are treating as suspicious a 9:45 p.m. Sunday fire that caused significant damage to the living room of a home on West Delason Avenue where three men were murdered last year.

Guardian Security notified 911 of activity at the vacant home at 571 West Delason, and someone else notified 911 of fire coming from the residence, Youngstown Fire Battalion Chief Silverio Caggiano said.

The fire caused significant fire damage to the living room and dining room on the first floor and fire and heat damage to the rest of the house.

The fire was deemed suspicious, and it is under investigation, Caggiano said.

Three men were found shot to death inside the house Dec. 12 — one in the living room, one in the kitchen and one inside the doorway, police said.

Police said at the time two weapons were used to kill the men, suggesting multiple shooters. Robbery was considered a possible motive.

Police later identified the three homicide victims as Korey Jennings, 38; Jamal Burley, 38; and Adrien Brown, 42.

Police were alerted to the killings by someone calling 911.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 330-742-8911 or Crime Stoppers at 330-746-CLUE.
