YOUNGSTOWN — A man in his 40s was found shot to death in his black Cadillac on the Interstate 680 northbound exit ramp onto Market Street at 2:50 a.m. today.

Youngstown police said they were sent to the area regarding a vehicle that had been shot into, with a victim inside. The location is just south of the downtown.

When officers got there, they found several bullet holes around the driver’s door area and the man inside dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Police called the identity of the man “unknown.”

The Mahoning County Coroner’s office and Youngstown detectives are investigating the homicide.

It is the 15th homicide of the year. The city had 20 in 2019.
