Body of man found in backyard on West Ravenwood

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department and Mahoning County Coroner’s Office are investigating after police responded to West Ravenwood Avenue near Hillman Street on the South Side on Thursday evening and confirmed a caller’s claim that there was a dead body in the backyard. When officers arrived for the 7:12 p.m. call, they spoke with a woman who said that about an hour before the person called 911, a man told her he had discovered a dead body about two days earlier.
