YOUNGSTOWN — The Western Reserve Transit Authority is receiving a $1.76 million grant to make improvements along its Belmont Avenue bus route, which runs from the downtown Federal Station to the Churchill Giant Eagle in Liberty. The funding is coming from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Ohio Workforce Partnership Program, which uses federal dollars to support public workforce transportation projects. A privately owned aluminum extrusion business in Canada added a Niles plant to its portfolio, BRT Extrusions announced this week in a letter to its customers. BRT, 1818 N. Main St., is now part of Can Art Aluminum Extrusion.The company, with several plants in Ontario, has its headquarters in Mississauga, which is approximately 24 miles west of Toronto.
