Rock 'N' Rally supports St. Vincent de Paul
St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish-Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, will host a Food Truck Rock 'N' Rally 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
The age 18 and older event will feature music by Doug Thomas and the Full Moon Allstars Band and several local food vendors, including Vernon's, Mijavec's, Eli's BBQ, Authentic Gyro and Cortland Lions. A cash bar will be available.
Admission is $15, and tickets can be purchased in advance at the church office or at the event. All proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall in Warren, helping support its mission of providing meals to those in need in our community.
Liberty library hosts GM Lordstown program
Paul Rohrbaugh, author of "Driving It Home: GM's Lordstown Complex 1956-2019," will speak at 5 p.m. Monday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library-Liberty, 415 Churchill-Hubbard Road.
Rohrbaugh will present a history of the complex and talk about the impact General Motors' presence had on the workers there and the entire Mahoning Valley.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase. The program is free, but advance registration is required by calling 330-759-2589.
Inspiring Minds Youngstown plans ball
Tickets are on sale now for Inspiring Minds Youngstown's annual Black & White Ball, which is scheduled 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center, 436 Struthers Coitsville Road, Campbell.
This year's theme is "The Future Starts Here," and the event will feature a dinner buffet, scholar and community presentations, awards and recognition, merchandise, auctions and raffles.
It will highlight the impact of Inspiring Minds Youngstown while sharing the vision for what comes next.
Tickets are $55 per person or $650 for a reserved table for 10 and are available online at imyouth.org/inspiring-minds-youngstown.
