‘Bonnie & Clyde’ hide out at Straw Hat Theatre
Trending
The musical "Bonnie & Clyde" closes the Straw Hat Theatre summer season in Ashtabula.
It is set during the Depression and based on the true story of Bonnie Parker (played by Jordan Benjamin) and Clyde Barrow (Marcus Lowery), who went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Forced to stay on the run, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive, their infamy growing as the inevitable ending of their story looms closer.
It features music by Frank Wildhorn ("Jeykll & Hyde," "The Civil War"), lyrics by Don Black ("Sunset Boulevard," "Disaster!") and a book by Ivan Menchell. The Straw Hat production is directed by Zach Adkins with music direction by Debra Fleming.
This show contains intense violence and mature themes.
