Three shows and a cabaret production make up the 2026-27 season for Youngstown State University Theatre.
The season opens Oct. 2 in Spotlight Theatre with the gothic mystery-comedy "Ravenscroft," written by Don Nigro.
A police inspector investigating a death in a remote manor house finds herself entangled with five women, each offering a different version of events, in a story full of twists and comic misdirection.
"Clue, The Musical" opens Nov 13 in Ford Theatre. Based on the classic board game, the production follows Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum and the rest of the suspects as they sing and scheme their way through the murder of Mr. Boddy -- with the audience helping decide whodunit.
The spring semester brings Agatha Christie's classic mystery "And Then There Were None" to the Ford Theatre opening March 12, 2027.
Ten strangers are lured to an isolated island mansion, where they begin to die one by one, building to a suspenseful conclusion.
Each of the productions will run for two weekends with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
The season concludes with a cabaret performance in Spotlight Theatre that will include a showcase of theater student's senior projects. It opens April 15 for a one-weekend run.
Adult season ticket subscriptions are $55 and are available now at www.ysu.tix.com. Discounts are available for members of the YSU Alumni Society and Penguin Club, non-YSU students and YSU faculty, staff and retirees.
Single tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday and are $16 for adults and $12 for non-YSU students, YSU alumni, senior citizens, Penguin Club members and groups of eight or more. YSU students are admitted free with a valid ID.
