PBS Western Reserve brings 'Neighbor'-ly event to Eastwood Mall
PBS Western Reserve presents "Be My Neighbor Day" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eastwood Mall, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles.
It will include a resource fair featuring local partner organizations, activities, a raffle and giveaways. Families will have a chance to meet local community helpers and take a picture with Daniel Tiger from "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood." Daniel Tiger-branded capes and other giveaway items are available while supplies last.
A community helpers dress-up area will let children choose from several costumes to explore the roles of local heroes, such as firefighters, doctors, police officers, construction workers and mail carriers. Admission is free.
Stambaugh Chorus seeking singers for 2026-27 season
The Stambaugh Chorus is seeking singers for the upcoming 2026 -27 season.
Membership is composed of volunteers who donate their time and talent to benefit the organization and the community. Membership is available to anyone who loves to sing, can carry a tune and learn quickly.
Singers of all skill levels are encouraged to audition. Rehearsals are held in the fall through the spring from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Youngstown State University's Bliss Hall room 3026. For more information about membership and auditions, email membership@stambaughchorus.org.
