TAG/RAA Annual winners announced

Seven works were selected for awards in the 60th TAG/RAA Annual at Trumbull Art Gallery.
The honorees were announced at Saturday's opening reception for the exhibition presented in partnership by the gallery and the Sharon, Pa., arts group Random Acts of Artists.
The winners are: Russell Bragg for the mixed media piece "The Mighty Biters"; Cheryl Eddie Deibel for the textile work "Boxed In"; Millie Hawkins for the watercolor "Pittsburgh Flower"; Ron Krygowski for the found object piece "Pennies from Heaven"; Ken Marshall for the linocut with Chine-colle printmaking creation "The Mouser"; Wendi Patrick for the ceramic "Dyeing for Paris" and Linda Vasconi for the photograph on metal "Rearview Mirror."
Maria Ferguson, director of Bruce Gallery at PennWest University in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, served as this year's juror. She selected 85 pieces by 64 artists for inclusion from the 156 pieces submitted by 85 artists.
The 60th TAG/RAA Annual runs through Sept. 18 at TAG, 158 N. Park Ave., Warren. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and admission is free. For more information, go to www.trumbullartgallery.com or call 330-395-4876.
