Canfield Fair finale reworked after Bret Michaels cancellation

By Staff report 1 min read

Bret Michaels no longer will close out the 180th Canfield Fair.

The Poison lead singer canceled all of his remaining 2026 tour dates due to medical reasons. Earlier this summer, Michaels had surgery for kidney stones.

A post on Michaels' social media account said, "Following Bret Michaels' comeback show at The Bowl at Sugar Hill (on Friday), doctors and paramedics determined immediately after the show that he still needs additional rest and recovery from his recent surgeries. Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%."

According to promoter JAC Live, Donnie Iris and the Cruisers and The Clarks, the other two acts on the bill, will perform at the Canfield Fair Grandstand on Sept. 7 as scheduled, and the evening will conclude with a fireworks finale presented by Phantom Fireworks at 9 p.m.

Those who purchased tickets for the original lineup and would like a refund may request one at their original point of purchase.

Tickets for the fair finale start at $25 and are available through Ticketmaster.

Starting at /week.
