St. Pat's hosts 68th festival
Opening today is the 68th festival at St. Patrick Church, 225 N. Main St., Hubbard.
The annual event features parish-made foods as well as food vendors. Entertainment will include Old Skool tonight, David Hern Band on Friday, Chris Higbee on Saturday and The Feral Cats and Dr. Zoot Band on Sunday. This year's raffle features a new Trailblazer of $20,000 as the grand prize.
Festival hours are 6 to 10 p.m. today, 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
Library, TCHS collect stories
Area residents are invited to share their stories as part of a Trumbull County Living Memories project in conjunction with America250-Ohio.
For the digital storytelling time capsule, participants can share unique experiences, memories and reflections on what Trumbull County means to them, their families and their community.
The project is in partnership with the Trumbull County Historical Society, and stories will be recorded from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.
There is no charge.
'Come From Away' auditions set
The Millennial Theatre Company will hold auditions for the musical "Come From Away" from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 6 and noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 8 at Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane.
Auditions are open to actors ages 18 and older, and those auditioning should prepare a 30-to-60-second cut of a song in the style of the show. There also will be a cold reading from the script.
The musical, directed by Joe Asente with music direction by Cari Auth, will open at the Playhouse on Nov. 6 for a two-weekend run. Go to millennialtheatre.org to schedule an audition time.

'Grimm' Youth Theatre auditions
Auditions are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 13 and noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 15 for Playhouse Youth Theatre's production of "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon!" by Don Zolidis.
Director Shiloh Hart is seeking up to 20 students ages 8 to 18. Those auditioning should memorize a 1-to-3-minute comedic monologue or choose one of the prepared monologues found at youngstownplayhouse.org/audition, where additional information is available.
Auditions will be in the Moyer Room at Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, and the comedy will be performed on the Playhouse's Main Stage on Oct. 2, 3 and 4.
Auditions for 'Outsider' set
Auditions are scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 16 and 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 17 for the comedy "The Outsider" at Trumbull New Theatre, 5883 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles.
Cast requirements are four men and three women ages 20s to 80s. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. Those auditioning can download audition sides at trumbullnewtheatre.com/auditions.

Vineyard displays artist's work
The work of Austintown artist Linda Mikula is featured in a solo exhibition at Vermilion Valley Vineyards, 11005 Gore Orphanage Road, Wakeman.
"Passion, Past and Present" includes two new paintings and will be on display through Sept. 7.
An artist reception is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. Aug 8 and will include a cash bar and light refreshments.
