Mill Creek MetroParks will have its annual Farm Animal Baby Shower on Saturday.

The family-friendly event gives attendees an opportunity to meet the newest arrivals at the MetroParks Farm, including goats, piglets, calves, chicks, ducklings and more. Visitors also will be able to see mother animals that are expecting.

Access to the animal barns is free. Available for a fee will be tractor-wagon rides, ice cream cones filled with feed to give to animals and concessions. Mill Creek MetroParks event merchandise will be for sale on site.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Free on-site parking will be available with additional parking across the street at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The barns at the MetroParks Farm currently are open for the season, welcoming visitors to view animals from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Extended hours will be available from June through October, with the barns remaining open until 5 p.m.
