MVHS series explores ’60s, ’70s news stories
YOUNGSTOWN — “The 1960s & ’70s Through Media” will be the focus of the next Bites and Bits of History program at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown.
Connie Jones, project manager of the Stewart Media Archives Center, will show video clips of the most important stories from those decades, including the Kent State shootings, organized crime, the interstate highway system, the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. and steel mill closures.
