Selah’s ‘Ladies Foursome’ scores a sellout

Selah Dessert Theater’s “The Ladies Foursome” hasn’t teed off yet, but it’s already scored a sellout.

The Norm Foster comedy centers on three women who have lost Cathy, the fourth member of their golf foursome, to a tragic accident. A friend of Cathy’s joins the other women for a round of golf to honor her passing.

During 18 tee offs, the women talk about family, friends, jobs, relationships, regrets, dreams and secrets. The end result is that they discover they really didn’t know each other or Cathy as well as they thought they did.

The ladies making up the foursome are: Amy Burd as business woman, Margot; Denise Sculli as news anchor, Connie; Nina Miller as stay-at-home mom, Tate; and Susan Cook as co-owner of a northern Canadian lodge and Cathy’s friend, Dory.

Mary R. Lynn is the director, and Bill Rees served as the golf coach.

“The Ladies Foursome” will be staged at 8 p.m. May 8-10,15-17 and 23-24 at Selah Restaurant, 130 S. Bridge St., Struthers. Tickets are $21.50 and include dessert at intermission, but all eight performances are sold out. The theater only is accessible by stairs.
