Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre presents Percy Jackson musical

Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will stage “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” this weekend.

Written by Joe Tracz with music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki, “The Lightning Thief” is based on the best-selling series of “Percy Jackson” YA novels by Rick Riordan.

The Playhouse production is directed and choreographed by Eden Lesnansky with Carolyn Colley as music director.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane.

Tickets range from $11 to $17 for adults and $6 to $11 for children ages 12 and younger and are available online at experienceyourarts.org and by calling 330-788-8739.

Art on Park plans ninth anniversary party for 6-9 p.m. Saturday in Warren

A ninth anniversary party is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Art on Park, 180 N. Park Ave., Warren.

The evening marking the anniversary of the opening of the gallery space and artist studios will include a performance by the band Razed By Robots and DJ sets by Propagated Soundz and DJ Galxe.

It also will be the final opportunity to see the Touch on Park exhibition.

Admission is free.
