McDonough celebrates art department’s ‘Legacy’
The McDonough Museum of Art will feature an exhibition celebrating the history of Youngstown State University’s art department.
“Legacy: 58 Years of YSU Art” showcases projects by current and past art department faculty and staff and is an exploration of innovation and tradition that imparts new vision and re-investigates long-standing practices in the fields of art and design.
This exhibition’s artists not only share their knowledge and expertise with the next generation but also use their creative energies to maintain a high level of professional practice, creating works that have been on display throughout the country.
The artists included in this exhibition are: Samuel Adu-Poku, Claudia Berlinski, Joy Christiansen Erb, Amy Copeland, Dragana Crnjak, Debra DeGregorio, Joseph D’Uva, Chauncey Hay, Ashley Johnston, Alyssa Keil, Russell Maddick, Missy McCormick, Christine McCullough, Richard Mitchell, Greg Moring, Michael Moseley, Michelle Nelson, John Guy Petruzzi, Stephanie Rhodes, Susan Russo, Dana Sperry and Amanda Spinosa.
“Legacy” runs through Oct. 26 at the McDonough, 525 Wick Ave., Youngstown. A reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 pm. Friday. Admission is free. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 330-941-1400.
