Method 8 screens latest ‘Escobar’ film
Method 8 will have its annual movie premiere and dinner Sept. 1 at Holiday Inn-Boardman.
The company was started by Brian K. West 17 years ago as an independent performing arts outlet for talent.
The event will include the premiere of “The Land of Escobar Pt. 5,” written and directed by West. It continues the story of a faraway galaxy with citizens in a battle with the ruling class to save themselves and their planet. The film is a space and Sci-Fi project filled with amazing characters. The story’s focal point is the challenge that leaders face when ruling citizens in search of a dreamer.
The film stars Malivia Blackmon-Davis of Youngstown, Solomon Kennedy of Youngstown, Frank F. Matthews of Detroit, Lawrence Schell of Campbell, Tina Schell of Campbell, Kewon Conner of Youngstown, Max Black of Campbell, Joyce Jones of Tennessee and West.
In addition to the movie, the evening will include a dinner, comedian Linda Poindexter and songs performed by Deborah Bendton, Gail Nevels Stinger, India Raven, Priscilla Baldwin, Jody B. and some of the film’s actors.
