Youth production of ‘Finding Nemo’ opens at AAC

Ashtabula Art Center’s youth theater production class will stage “Finding Nemo Jr.”

The show is based on the Pixar-Disney animated film about a young clownfish who gets separated from his overprotective father, and the quest the father takes to find him.

The cast includes Beckett Smith, Andrew Huber, Kenzie Sidley, Travis Greenaway, Leia Bieder, Loralei Bartunek, Greyson Clark, Sebastian Noscal, Chloe Panzone and Natalie Trask.

The musical features songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (the husband-and-wife duo whose songs appeared in “Frozen” and “Coco”) and a book by Lindsay Anderson.

It is directed by Sarah Oberstar with musical direction by Ashley Nelling.

“Finding Nemo Jr.” will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and March 14-15 and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through March 17 at Ashtabula Arts Center, 2928 W. 13th St., Ashtabula. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for students, senior citizens and military and $11 for children ages 2 to 12 if purchased in advance online at ashtabulaartscenter.org or by calling 440-964-3396.
