Federal Frenzy lineup announced

An unknown act that played Federal Frenzy at its inaugural event in 2015 will headline the daylong music and arts festival in its tenth year.

Presented by Youngstown State University’s Penguin Productions, the 2024 edition will feature more than 25 acts on four stages from 2 to 11 p.m. Saturday.

After being held initially on West Federal Street near Central Square, the event moved to Penguin City Brewing last year due to construction downtown. This year’s event will span the brewery and Youngstown Flea with indoor and outdoor stages.

The main stage headliner will be Bully, led by Alicia Bognanno. A decade ago Bully was the first band on the main stage, and played for a handful of people on a cool late-April afternoon.

The band’s debut album came out on Columbia Records the following month, and later that summer the band was performing on Conan O’Brien’s TBS talk show.

Other acts scheduled to appear include Goners, JD Eicher, Andrew Slater and the Wickies, Angie Haze, Big Pop, Black Wolf and the Thief, Chris Lombardii, Dave Buker, Drake Morris, Easton Union, Franklin, Dead Rose, Hywater, Katy Robinson and the Wanderers, Lauren Brabson, Madame Marlowe, Nick Adduci, Ohayo, Phatz Elliot, Riley Burke Band, The Berrys, The Crxssing, The Knockouts, Wednesday Demonstration, Wine & Spirit and Yacobucci.

Admission is free.
