Play explores relationship dynamics
The 13th Street Theatre will stage the drama “Constellations” for a two-weekend run at Ashtabula Arts Center.
Nick Payne’s play tells the love story between a physicist (Amelia Mihalik) and a beekeeper (Alec Warren) across multiple universes. Each universe offers a different future for the couple, which encounters heartbreak, a happy ending and everything in between.
According to director Ave Warren Lowe, “We’re following somebody’s relationship through all of these different possibilities, and people might see themselves somewhere in all of that.”
“Constellations” contains strong language and mature themes.
It will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday through Feb. 18 at AAC, 2928 W. 13th St., Ashtabula. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for students, senior citizens and military and $13 for children ages 2 to 12 in advance and $19, $17 and $15 at the door. Tickets are available online at ashtabulaartscenter.org and by calling 440-964-3396.
