PBS Western Reserve will celebrate the 50th anniversary of WNEO's first broadcast with an open house 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 30 at its offices at 1750 W. Campus Center Drive, Kent.
Attendees can enjoy a behind-the-scenes station tour, an interactive studio experience and refreshments. Events include children's activities 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., meet-and-greets with The Cat in the Hat at 11 a.m. and noon, a woodworking demonstration by Richard Grell from "The Master Craftsman" at 1 p.m. and an advance screening of the documentary "PBS Western Reserve: A Study in Persistence" at 2 p.m.
