Thompson steps in for postponed Powers

WARREN — Actor Stefanie Powers, who was supposed to open the 2023-24 Trumbull Town Hall lecture series, now will speak at Packard Music Hall in November.

Unforeseen circumstances forced Powers to reschedule her Wednesday lecture, according to TTH committee member Roberta Shields.

Taking Powers’ place on Wednesday will be comedian, magician and Warren businessman Eric Thompson.

He will talk about his travels, performing comedy and magic in nearly 40 countries, oftentimes in remote areas for audiences who never have seen a magic trick.

Powers is scheduled to speak on Nov. 15, which was Thompson’s original date.

Thompson’s program starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW.

Single tickets are $35 and are available at the Packard box office and through Ticketmaster.

Season tickets good for admission to all four lectures in 2023-24 season are $100.
