The 40th Slovenefest starts Friday at SNPJ Recreation Center, 270 Martin Road, Enon Valley, Pa.

More than 20 Slovenian polka bands and button box accordion clubs will perform at five indoor and outdoor locations over three days. Slovenian sausages, roasted lamb and barbecued chicken will be among the foods available, and visitors can explore the culture of Slovenia through displays of folk attire, crafts and presentations.

The event runs from 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, Admission is $10 on Friday and Sunday and $15 on Saturday with children 16 and younger admitted free. For more information, go to www.slovene fest.com.
