Concert to feature arias, Polish music

The Cleveland Opera comes to Youngstown for its season finale, which celebrates the priesthood of the Rev. Joseph Rudjak and his leadership in the arts.

The concert will include arias from operas by Moniuszko, Mozart, Verdi and Puccini as well as instrumental music.

Instrumental pieces draw on the great wealth and spectrum of Polish music, from folk to classical to romantic.

The performers include Dorota Sobieska, soprano; Bohdan Subchak, violin; Wanda Sobieska, violin and viola; Julian Sobieski, double bass; Thomas Osuga, piano; and Jacek Sobieski, piano.

“Grand Finale!” starts at 6 p.m. Saturday at SS. Peter & Paul Church, Holy Apostles Parish, 421 Covington St., Youngstown. Admission is free, and a reception will follow the performance. For more information, go to www.thecleve landopera.org.
