‘Carousel’ comes to Sharon for 2 weekends

The musical “Carousel” opens Friday for a two-weekend run at ACTS Center for the Performing Arts.

Debuting in 1945, “Carousel” was the second produced musical written by the team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II and includes the songs “If I Loved You” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

The production is directed by Ron Sinesio, and the music director is Joe Spurio.

The cast includes Emma James, Christina Russo, Susan Woge, Tom Perman, Ronn Grantz, Mark Nelson, Connie Cassidy, Miriam Necastro, Sam Early, Leon Avery, Jen Stephenson, Jeanne Patterson, Gabriel Garcia, Mike Allenbaugh, Emily Royer, John Woge, Analia Russo, Melina Liszka, Erin Morell, Jimmy Fink, Miranda Woge and Dave Reeher.

The performers will be backed by a 10-piece orchestra that include a harpist.

“Carousel” will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday through April 2 at ACTS Center for the Performing Arts, 40 S. Irvine Ave., Sharon, Pa. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and are available online at www.actssharpsville.org and by calling 724-815-4388.
