Kent State University at Trumbull Theatre will hold auditions for the comic melodrama “Die Mommie Die!” from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14 at the theater, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW, Champion.

Charles Busch’s play is inspired by the “Grande Dame Guignol” movie thrillers of the 1960s featuring such aging screen icons as Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Lana Turner and Susan Hayward. The show will run two weekends starting March 3, 2023.

Those auditioning must be 18 or older. Cast requirements are three women for characters ages 20s to 40s and three men for characters ages 20s to 60s. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script.
