The Mahoning Valley Historical Society will partner with the Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society to honor the memory of the late Dr. Rick Shale with an art show Nov. 4 to 6.

“Remembering Rick: Art and Friendship” will feature Shale’s artwork, both photographs and paintings, in the Thomas Ballroom at Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Shale was a retired Youngstown State University professor, community activist and MVHS board member who was a generous supporter of both the historical and watercolor societies. He died Feb. 2 at age 75.
