Museum to feature discussion on women who worked at Packard
A panel discussion on “The Working Women of Packard Electric” is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.
For over a century, Packard Electric was one of Warren’s most dynamic and progressive companies. From its founding in 1890, Packard provided various employment opportunities for women. From paying good wages and benefits, sports leagues, clubs and social activities, Packard Electric earned the reputation as the top employer in town. An all-female panel of Packard Electric retirees will share stories of working for the company from the late 1950s until the 1990s.
The program is free with paid admission to the museum and free for museum members. For more information, call 330-394-1899.
