New shows announced for Robins, Warren amp

Jackyl brings its Southern hard rock to the Robins Theatre on July 14. The band’s released its self-titled debut album nearly 30 years ago.

The platinum-selling album included the song “The Lumberjack,” which includes a chain saw solo. Three original members from that debut — Jesse James Dupree, lead vocals and guitar; Jeff Worley, guitar; and Chris Worley, drums — remain with the band, joined by Roman Glick on bass.

The band celebrated its 25th anniversary with the career retrospective release “25,” which included radio hits “Down on Me,” “Push Comes to Show” and “Favorite Sin” along with a cover of Black Oak Arkansas’ “Hot and Nasty.”

Only 350 tickets will be available due to current COVID-19 guidelines, and seating will be in socially distanced pods. Tickets are $60 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday online only at www.robinstheatre.com.
