Science center improvements
Carnegie Science Center unveiled a multi-million-dollar renovation project this week.
Changes include enhanced technological capabilities and increased visual clarity in Buhl Planetarium, making its programming more immersive and realistic. The upgrade, as well as an additional operational endowment, is made possible by a $1 million gift from The Buhl Foundation, $1 million from Bob and Joan Peirce and additional donors in the Pittsburgh community.
The center also added a new model to its Miniature Railroad & Village to celebrate the railroad’s centennial and the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote.
