“Tazim Jaffer: Organic Artistry” now is on display at the Butler Institute of American Art.

Jaffer, who is well known locally for her paintings, focuses on her photography with “Organic Artistry.”

“Photography allows me to capture marvelous forms of nature, color, texture, line, shape, movement, and energy which are evolving,” she writes in her artist statement. “The act of capturing images with the lens of the camera is a metaphor for my artistic process. It allows me to process the world that I observe, filtering it through my psyche and present it to my audience.”

The exhibition will be on display through Jan. 31, 2021, at the Butler, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown.
