Old Mill Museum is focus of talk

Ray Novotny, naturalist emeritus at Mill Creek MetroParks, will speak at the next Boardman Historical Society meeting.

Novotny’s topic will be Old Mill Museum, which was one of the first trailside museums in the United States. It operated at Lanterman’s Mill from 1933 to 1982 and offered exhibits of stuffed birds and animals, botanical and mineral specimens, and historical artifacts. The museum also offered nature interpretation programs. His presentation will include many historical photographs of the museum and the park.

The program starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. Visitors, new members, and guests are always welcome.
