Aleda Bukovinsky turned 100 years old on Oct. 31. In celebration, a birthday dinner attended by 175 guests and hosted by her children took place Nov. 12 at the Maronite Center in Youngstown. During the celebration, Aleda was bestowed and presented with a “Papal Apostolic Blessing” on the occasion of her 100th birthday. Out of town guests included Chorbishop Donald J. Irene Catherine Kraynak Sinkovich was born Oct. 22, 1923, in Youngstown. She was the second daughter of Frank and Veronica Jessico Kraynak. Irene lived her entire life in this area. She was a 1942 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. In her younger years she worked as a secretary for area businesses. At age 51 she returned to work at Humeás Carriage House where she worked until her retirement. Irene married Joseph M. “Doc” Sinkovich on July 31, 1948. From that union they had three daughters.
