Mr. and Mrs. J. Ralph and Marilyn Seidner III of Salem, celebrated their 71st anniversary on Dec. 6, 2025.
J Ralph and Marilyn Seidner III were married Dec 6, 1954. Their life together has been a rich tapestry of adventure, creativity, family and unwavering devotion.
Their life spans states and stories: Throughout their seven decades together, Ralph and Marilyn have made homes in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Florida, each chapter adding new memories and friendships.
Summers brought a special kind of magic as they ventured north to the serene beauty of Northern Ontario, where the family gathered, laughed and created traditions that continue to be cherished. The Seidners’ greatest pride is their growing family, with whom they celebrate this milestone.
They are blessed with three children, six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A retired third-generation commercial pilot and former owner of Salem Airpark, Ralph exemplifies the spirit of aviation. Even today he continues to attend Quiet Birdmen meetings, staying forever connected to the community that shaped so much of his life. His days begin with a morning walk with his faithful dog Jet. Ralph is known not only for his aviation achievements, but also for being a devoted family man and a friend to many.
Marilyn’s talents shine through the intricate quilts and crafts she has lovingly created over the years. Her sewing machine has logged as many hours as Ralph has logged in the cockpit, a testament to her passion, patience and artistic spirit. Through quilting, she has preserved family history, celebrated milestones and brought comfort to loved ones.
Today, Ralph and Marilyn continue to make their home in Salem.
They remain actively engaged and surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Their 71-year journey is a remarkable example of dedication, companionship and the joy found in building a life side by side.
