Anniversary: Singley 55th

Dennis and Carol Singley
Dennis and Carol Singley of Austintown are celebrating their 55th anniversary on June 7, 2025. Denny and the former Carol Harmon were married June 7, 1970, in Fowler.
They have one son, Nathan, at home.
After graduating from Warren Harding High School in 1963, Denny served his country for four years with the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. Carol graduated from Fredonia State University in New York in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
They met at a dance Dec. 20, 1968.
Carol used her education to help revive Big Brothers/Big Sisters before her son was born. Denny left his most recent employment at Walmart in 2018 after an illness. Carol retired from Anthem after 30 years in 2012, from Catherine’s after 20 years in 2015 and from Copley Counseling after 11 years in 2023. She is now employed by Purple Cat/Isle.
Denny is an avid amateur photographer and fills his time taking pictures, mainly of nature, with Mill Creek Park being his favorite subject. They enjoy hiking together and looking for another waterfall for Denny to photograph.
They plan to celebrate with a trip to Niagara Falls in October.
They are members of Boardman Baptist Church. Their favorite saying to make it through the years is, “In any kind of weather, we’ll make it — together.”
