Announcing their engagement and approaching marriage are Priscilla Solomon and Bob Barko Jr., both of Youngstown.

The bride-elect was born and raised in Salem. She attended United Local High School.

After high school, she received a medical office administration certificate from Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and went on to receive her cosmetology license from Raphael’s School of Beauty and Culture in 2012. She founded her own business, Priscilla’s Housekeeping Services, in 2014.

A lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, the groom-elect attended Boardman High School and is a 1993 graduate of Youngstown State University. He is an Air Reserve Technician, assigned as the 910th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Superintendent at Youngstown Air Reserve Station. He also founded his own business, Steel Town Studios, in 2000.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown. Invitations have been issued for the ceremony and a reception at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station Community Activity Center.
