Warren library offers slavery-era genealogy program on Saturday

The program “Building Bridges: A Dialogue Between Slavery Era Descendants” is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Local genealogist Stacey Adger and nationally recognized genealogist Cheri Hudson Passey will share the complexities of descending from an ancestor who owned slaves. The speakers will share their stories and focus on how to have those difficult talks and turn them into constructive conversations.

This program is in partnership with the Trumbull County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, and admission is free either for in-person attendance or to watch via Zoom. Call 330-399-8807 ext. 200 or email ref@wtcpl.org to get the Zoom link.
