Charles and Margaret Senediak of Austintown were honored at a 60th wedding anniversary celebration with their children and grandchildren on Nov. 24, 2023, at Nicolinni Chophouse Restaurant in Canfield.
Mr. Senediak and the former Margaret E. Kovacs were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held Nov. 23, 1963, at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown, the day after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.
The couple, graduates of Chaney High School, are still members of the church where they are bingo workers.
Margaret worked in payroll at Automatic Sprinkler in Youngstown, then stayed home to raise a family.
Charles served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1962 to 1968. He graduated from Youngstown State University in 1972 and worked for General Motors in Lordstown for 32 years, retiring as a senior industrial engineer in 1998.
They have one son, Michael (Carole) Senediak of Austintown, one daughter, Christina M. (Darren) Thornton of Canfield and three grandchildren.
The couple enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, taking a cruise to Alaska, a cruise from Amsterdam on the Rhine River through Germany down the Danube River to Vienna, Austria, and several family cruises to the Caribbean.
