Mark and Donna Birmingham celebrated 50 years of marriage Feb. 16, 2024.

Mark Richard Birmingham and the former Donna Lee Ketterer were married Feb. 16, 1974, during a wedding ceremony held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Coraopolis, Pa.

They have resided most of their adult lives in Leetonia, where they raised their children, Mark (Erika) Birmingham and Melissa (Tad Herold) Birmingham.

Mark served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1971 and did stints in Germany and Iran. He then worked as an ironworker and owned a tire shop in Columbiana before retiring from D.W. Dickey in East Liverpool where he worked as a mechanic.

Donna retired from the Counseling Center in Lisbon, after working as a social worker for the last 49 years.

Mark volunteers with Meals on Wheels and Donna volunteers with the food pantry and more at St. Patrick’s Church in Leetonia.

They enjoy spending time with their two grandchildren and two pugs.

Mark and Donna look forward to many more years of Mark riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Donna staying busy with swimming, crocheting and playing Mahjong.
