Eugene and Rosemarie Yuhas of Struthers celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a Mass Aug. 12, 2023, at Christ Our Savior / St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, where a special blessing was bestowed on the couple by Pastor Philip Rogers.

Mr. Yuhas and the former Rosemarie Wittenauer were married Aug. 8, 1953, at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Eugene had previously worked at Anderson Suburban Delivery and retired from Republic Steel.

Rosemarie had worked previously at Westinghouse Electric in Sharon, Pa., and retired after working as a secretary at Holy Trinity School and then Center Street School, both in Struthers.

The couple have four children, Beth (Steve) Budd of Dayton, Bobbi (Tim) McCoy of New Middletown and Kevin (Antoinette) of London. One son, Steve is deceased. They also have six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
